As Young Advisors, we offer a range of services to local organisations and to other young people.

We can make sure your views about living in Tranmere & Rock Ferry, and the Wirral, are heard by local decision makers.

Have you got an opinion on something but don't know where to get it heard, or who to tell?

You can tell us, it's part of our job is to make sure young people are heard and their opinions and ideas are taken into account. We can take your opinions to the right people and make sure they are heard!

Then we are here to let you know! There is lots going on in the area, so Young Advisors are here to spread the word.

Young Advisors can youth proof documents, plans and policies which are put together to ensure that they are accessible to children & young people.

Whether that's re-wording more complicated information, or making sure there are no abbreviations, we're here to help!

Do you have something you want young people to read?
Is it a plain black and white document?
Is it full of jargon or acronyms?

Well, we can turn that boring document into colourful, easy to read article, that gives young people the information they need in a language they can understand and leave them wanting to know more!

The best example of youth proofing we have done is the ‘Children & Young People's Plan for Tranmere & Rock Ferry’ We proof read the document that had been put together, making sure that it was as readable and understandable as possible to those who would be reading it, We also delivered a presentation at the Launch Event of the plan explaining the influence that Young Advisors can have in meeting the outcomes highlighted in the plan.

Young Advisors can facilitate a workshop to let you know how to engage effectively with Young People. We offer a training session which can be delivered to your organisation to ensure your staff know how to work with young people in positve way.

In the past, we have facilitated at conferences for local councillors from across the North-West. We were invited to take part by Leslie Silverlock, the President of Young Advisors. We also Co-chaired the same conference.

Young Advisors are trained regenereation and renewal consultants, you can commission us to carry out work with Young People and the local community on behalf of agencies/organisations working in the area.

What better way to get the views and opinions of young people than having young people carry out your consultation for you?!

All you need to do is tell us what you want to know, we can design the questions and record the answers. We can get out there into the places where young people are and get you the answers you want!

Consultation has been done in the area to find out what young people want provided, activity wise and how they want to be given the information.

Organisations in the area can commission Young Advisors to carry out and complete projects in our area for local children & young people - making sure that they are involved from the beginning. Most project work completed will link in with the outcome areas higlighted in the Children & Young People's Plan for Tranmere & Rock Ferry.

During the renovation of Mersey and Victoria Parks, we put in a Youth Capital Fund (YCF) bid in for a new Youth Shelter in Victoria Park. The reason we did it was because Victoria Park received less funding than Mersey Park because only half of it falls into the funding boundary. We received £13,000 and worked closely with the redevelopment team to decide on the design of the shelter and its position.
